We all have had varying degrees of emotional, physical, sexual and spiritual pain, with the damage ranging from mild to life-altering, and devastating. The bigger the nightmare event in our lives, the harder it can be to forgive the perpetrators. We by nature maywant revenge, or to make our offenders "pay" and can hold onto anger, rage and bitterness knowingly or even unknowingly. We can't fully forgive in and of ourselves, without God.
Fortunately, we serve a God that is well aware of our earthly struggles with forgiveness. God is not standing off in a corner of the room, judging us for our frail, and fragile hearts that war with what feels like letting someone off the hook. God, in His perfect love, has provided ways to walk through the forgiveness journey.
