Longevity, Zara Larsson & A Long-Awaited Album with MNEK

A new episode of Into It brings us our second special guest. Clara and Munroe are joined by multi-Platinum singer, songwriter and producer MNEK!

Nominated for two GRAMMYs and a BRIT Award - and having won the ASCAP Vanguard Award - MNEK is one of the most prominent songwriter/producers in pop. Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, Zara Larson, Madonna, Selena Gomez…are just a few of the artists who have been blessed by his pen!

Clara, Munroe and MNEK talk about his first new album in 8 years, “Bulldozer” (out on September 18th). Having turned 30, MNEK shares what it is like to be making a record in this new season of his life, in particular the audacity of lead single “REVERSE!!”. He also reflects on the pressure of being a featured vocalist in an era of breakout features and the structural privilege he's noticed as a man in an industry that gives women a much shorter run.

They also talk about Zara Larsson finally receiving her flowers, his role in the latest chapter of her career, the problem with revivals as Myspace plots a return and his unashamed love of “Bangerz” era Miley…not everyone agrees!
