Revelation to Joseph Smith the Prophet, given at Kirtland, Ohio, 8 March 1833 (see History of the Church, 1:329–31). This revelation is a continuing step in the establishment of the First Presidency (see the heading to section 81); as a consequence thereof, the counselors mentioned were ordained on 18 March 1833.
