Ram Ramachander, Chief Commercial Officer of Social Innovation at Hitachi

Ram leads the social innovation business at Hitachi with the purpose of using technology to tackle climate change. Ram shares a personal account of his journey from a childhood in India, to moving to England in the 80’s, to dinner with Al Gore at Cop26. Ram credits his passion to navigate the problems of climate change to a strong survival instinct, learnt through his teenage years combined with a blueprint of altruism from his grandfather and father who were both highly driven and compassionate doctors.
