It Sucks To...Have A Mental Illness

TW: mention of death, depression, chronic anxiety, and controlled substance withdrawal. We've all felt hopeless and terrified at one point in our lives. Many of us have gone through an insufferable feeling of believing that everything is gonna go terribly wrong. In this episode I'll be talking about mental health, what it means, the reason behind it being such a taboo, how sometimes it's difficult to find support from the people we love for us to get better, and how we can take appropriate action to help guide us in the right direction. I'll also be shedding light on therapy, and some of the misconceptions around it, some untold truths as well. I also get really deep and personal with my own journey of dealing with my own mental health, and how it felt for me to navigate it on my own. Does it ever get better? Is it a guaranteed win from the very first appointment or session? And how if left untreated, your mental illness could send you to the emergency room.
