Sometimes we don’t stop loving God all at once—we simply get distracted. Life fills up with responsibilities, stress, routines, and noise, and slowly our affection for Christ fades into the background. Tonight’s Scripture is both sobering and hopeful: God lovingly points out when we have forsaken our first love, not to shame us, but to invite us back. Just as healthy relationships require time, attention, and intentional connection, so does our walk with the Lord. When we neglect prayer, worship, and God’s Word, distance grows. But the beautiful truth is that we can return. God promises that if we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us. This is a gentle call to rekindle devotion, repent of what has pulled your heart away, and rediscover the joy of loving Jesus first.

TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE
"Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. " - Revelation 2:4
Your Evening Prayer
Father,
I confess that I have allowed my love for You to fade into the background. Forgive me for getting distracted and placing other things ahead of You. Tonight, I want to return to You with a sincere heart. Renew my desire for Your presence and restore the joy of my salvation. Teach me how to seek You wholeheartedly and make You my highest priority again. Thank You for loving me with patience, kindness, and mercy, even when I’ve grown distant. Help me to draw near to You, trusting that You will meet me there.
Amen.
