In this episode of Bhanna Baki, we’re talking about women in sports. Our conversation was accompanied by Pratigya Joshi, who is a Civil Engineering undergrad in Kathmandu, Nepal. Her football journey started at the age of 16 and currently, she plays for the local teams in Kathmandu. She initially played for the team "Thunderbirds" and later went on to join the "MUFC Nepal Girls". She says, “Playing football has helped me connect to a network of strong women from different corners of the world. In 2019, she got a chance to be a part of a coaching initiative which has helped me bring changes in my community and fueled the desire in me to help younger generation to pursue their dreams. Women's sports in Nepal are in a growing phase. We have witnessed many positive changes over the years. With good governance in sports and collective efforts from private sectors and we individuals, I believe we can reach greater heights and be on the higher ground down the line.”
