new year, same chaos

the pressure of a new year’s resolution is lowkey stressful. but obvi i made one lol. no one talks about what it feels like when you actually achieve your dream. like why is it weirdly empty sometimes? i’m figuring out whether to choose peace or violence this year (too late, I went with violence). i forced myself to be bored and it actually felt good. we’re so focused on the finish line that we forget to live in the middle. maybe the real work is learning how to slow down long enough to actually feel proud of yourself. in the wise words of my girl Miley Cyrus, it’s not about what’s on the other side, It's the damn climb baby.
