What I wish we were taught in sex ed

Growing up in the South, so much of my experience around puberty, sexuality, and relationships was rooted in shame, fear, and abstinence-only messaging, and I’m unpacking how that shaped my body image, beliefs about pleasure, and understanding of STIs, consent, and self-worth. 

We talk about real anatomy (yes, including the clitoris), why pleasure doesn’t cancel out self-respect, how consent can change at any time, and why your sexual choices have nothing to do with your morality. This episode is about normalizing conversations around sex, dismantling shame, and creating a more confident, empowered relationship with your body and your desires.
