USC at Big Ten Media Days plus the conclusion of the top Trojans countdown

In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and RJ Abeytia are back in studio talking about head coach Lincoln Riley, quarterback Jayden Maiava and defensive linemen Jide Abasiri and Alex VanSumeren representing USC at Big Ten Media Days in Chicago. Both of our hosts had planned on being at the Chicago Hilton, but after 9 hours of delays at LAX their flight was cancelled and they were denied the opportunity to attend the event in person (and partake in deep-dish pizza in the Windy City).

The guys talk about what Riley had to say including the tremendous momentum the team has built up over the off-season and the future of the Notre Dame Game. The players talked about a variety of topics including the impact new defensive coordinator Gary Patterson has made during his time on campus.

Both Ryan and RJ continue their countdown of the most important Trojans for the 2026 season, starting where they left off at No. 7 with the aforementioned Jide Abasiri. They also discuss the newly released fall camp schedule with a couple of opportunities for the media to observe full practices and tour the brand new Bloom Center.
