Andy Burnham has confirmed no prisoners will be subject to early release until a full review of the scheme has been completed.

Following fury over Labour threatening to release offenders back onto the streets of Britain, the Prime Minister announced that he would "look at" the policy again.

This afternoon, he said: "Keeping the public safe will always be my top priority."
