The Legal Process, especially in a divorce or family law action, is frustrating. There is no question about it. This leaves you with two options. You can either choose to continue to be miserable and frustrated. Or, you can learn about the process, change your mindset, and do something about it so that you can get through your divorce with considerably less headache. In this episode, Todd and Leh explore some of the more common frustrations that come out of a divorce and how to handle them. Some of the questions we explore are why the process takes so long, what is the purpose of discovery and how best to deal with it, how to handle that feeling that "the other side is winning," and what you can do to work towards a settlement rather than experience the cost and emotional trauma a trial can bring. While the show does specifically address divorce, it is also applicable to child custody cases and support modification actions.
