While the Fourth of July came and went, we are still celebrating 250 years of 'Merica. This week, we taste and review Evan Williams America 250th Commemorative Edition which is a limited-release, single-barrel Kentucky straight bourbon priced around $40. For this release, the Master Distillers at Heaven Hill selected 250 single barrels to honor America's 250th anniversary. The bourbon itself is non-chill filtered, aged over 7 years, and bottled at a bold 117.76 proof (58.88% ABV) as a nod to 1776. Does this pour live up to the pomp and circumstance of the 250th anniversary of our great nation. You'll have to listen to find out.
