How important is it to be efficient as an artist? That’s the question I posted on Instagram yesterday and today we are unpacking your answers. There’s so much to talk about!
Does efficiency take away from the magic of the process? Is it different for working artists vs. non-working artists? Can taking a break be the most efficient thing you do?
Plus there were so many wonderful tips left on the IG post. Things like: using a stay wet palette, listening to helpful podcasts while painting, putting up a do not disturb sign when working, turning off wi-fi, having your artist bio and portfolio images ready to send when requested and much more!
One thing that did become clear is that there are many different ways to be efficient as an artist and the choices you make will be influenced by your goals and overall vision.
We hope you enjoy the conversation and if you haven’t checked out the Instagram post, you can do so here. Thank you everyone for your wonderful contributions and for helping me to create this podcast! After-all, sometimes being efficient means asking for help!!
