The reason for this is related to your subconscious mind. When you overwhelm your subconscious with too many changes or new habits, your mind goes: “Holy, Mother of God! There is a lot that you want to change, and it feels unsafe and out of our comfort zone, so let’s do everything we can to prevent you from doing that.”
The good news is that self-discipline is like a muscle. With enough practice and effort, it will get stronger, and it will become easier to take on new habits or complete tasks.
