Glenn Hart, a radio host in New Zealand was and had all the files on his computer stolen. Savvy enough to see a note left for him buried in the files, Glenn decided to play by his own rules and negotiate with the hackers to get his data back.

"I'm talking about all my photos, all my immediate files, terabytes of stuff, and the file extensions had been renamed to something unrecognizable. And basically, I was left with a text file who told me how to get in touch with the people who are responsible for doing this for me."
