1 Kings 17:1-16– Pray– Running on Empty
Almost everyone who has driven an automobile has, at some time or another, experienced an occasion when the needle on the gas gauge was on “e.” I have even had the needle to go past “e,. In 1994, I was driving a 1986 Ford Escort and on my way to USC-Aiken I gave out of gas two miles from the gas station. It was my fault because my parents told me to get gas the night before, but I wanted to wait until I get to Edgefield because the gas was cheaper there than in McCormick. Not a smart move. Needless to say, mom and brother brought me gas to get me to school, but it was not without my MOM’s sharp tongue.
