Most of us have had building works carried out on a property, and some have had a falling out with a builder, during or after the work has been completed. But where do you legally stand if you have fallen in to the category of having ‘nightmare OR cowboy’ – call it what you like – builders? Most people do not draw up a list of work of what was agreed to be completed beforehand, or the work they changed the plans for; or even worse, when you try to get hold of the builder, they’ve either disappeared in to thin air, or have blocked your number!
