Lindsay Clancy Trial: Defense Grills Psychiatrist Over Missed Warning Signs With Special Guests Julia Jenaé & Joel Waldman

One day before Cora, Dawson and Callan were killed, Lindsay Clancy told psychiatrist Dr. Jennifer Tufts that she had felt numb for 17 days, had a racing heart and was depressed. Yet Tufts testified that Clancy repeatedly denied thoughts of harming herself or others and showed no signs of psychosis. Former prosecutor and criminal defense attorney Joshua Ritter and Court TV’s Julia Jenaé examine whether the defense exposed serious warning signs that were missed—or successfully shifted the jury’s focus away from Clancy’s criminal responsibility.

Later, Joel Waldman of Surviving the Survivor, who attended Courtney Clenney’s plea and sentencing, takes us inside the courtroom. Clenney pleaded guilty to manslaughter with a deadly weapon and received six years in prison followed by five years of probation for killing Christian Obumseli. Josh and Joel discuss why prosecutors accepted the plea, the risks they faced at trial and whether the sentence delivers meaningful accountability.
