I sat down w singer-songwriter Shell Bells, whose music often incorporates themes of spirit and fantasy. She's also the co-founder of Clarke Street Fest in Riverwest. We discussed Shell's inception into Milwaukee music during a folk revivalist era, the Low Down Sound days, how fantasy can be used to teach life lessons, her use of auxiliary instruments and looping pedal, and her residency at Angelo's Piano Lounge.
