Democrats are going after Ken Paxton for spending July 4th in England, and you need to see what James Talarico actually posted before the media spins it. In the Texas Senate race, Talarico called out Paxton for being in London during the 250th anniversary of American independence. He posted a video of Paxton there and claimed it was the last place any patriotic Texan should be that weekend. Talarico stayed in Texas and posed with Willie Nelson instead. While regular Americans were focused on family, barbecues, and making ends meet, political elites turned a personal trip into campaign ammo. The irony of attacking someone for being in the U.K. right after celebrating independence from Britain hasn’t gone unnoticed.
