Acclaimed international bestseller Mike Maden steps into the Interrogation Room to clear up a few things about his writing and craft. Mike grew up in rural California, earned his Ph.D. studying politics and international conflict, and decided to answer his call to write after turning 40. He's written the bestselling DRONE series and has contributed four installments to the Tom Clancy and Jack Ryan universe since 2017. His latest project there is called "TOM CLANCY - FIRING POINT," and it may well stand among the best of all 29 books in that series.
In this episode, Mike and host Gavin Reese discuss FIRING POINT, writing Jack Ryan novels, work ethic, artificial intelligence, individual voice, and which fictional investigators Mike would call to help him investigate a friend's murder.
