Alex Skeel - Domestic Abuse Survivor

At sixteen years old, Alex Skeel believed he had found his first love in Jordan Worth. She was an intelligent and ambitious young woman who seemed to offer him the a life and family. But behind closed doors, that relationship descended into years of control and escalating violence as Alex became increasingly isolated from his family, deprived of food and subjected to attacks with bottles, hammers, knives and boiling water.
By the summer of 2017, the once healthy, football loving young man was severely underweight, covered in untreated injuries and burns, and trapped inside a home where even seeking medical treatment had become nearly impossible. It would take concerned neighbours, repeated police visits and one officer unwilling to accept Alex’s explanations before the horrifying reality of what was happening inside that house finally began to emerge.
