In August of 1966, two Brazilian electronics technicians were found dead on a hillside outside Niterói, dressed in suits and handmade lead masks, with a cryptic schedule and no clear cause of death. They had told their wives they were going one place and quietly went somewhere else entirely...and whatever they swallowed that evening was never identified. Sixty years later, the case remains officially unsolved, with theories ranging from a self-administered ritual gone wrong to robbery, espionage, and contact with the unexplained.
