God isn't doing the same thing in everyone because we are all uniquely made so it is expected that our marriages will produce differently BUT THE PRINCIPLES LISTED FOR US TO FOLLOW WILL BE THE SAME, the results just produce different things because God desires to use us all in different ways. YOU GOTTA APPLY BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES TO YOUR MARRIAGE IF NOT IT WONT PRODUCE BIBLICAL RESULTS.
Culture has convinced us that marriage is something to do, you'll hear "I know I can be a good husband because I can cook, I can clean, I can do this and that." Marriage is not something to do because if it was it would then turn into idolatry because what do you do when someone wants you to be something that you aren't? What do you do when someone expects you to be something God has not asked you to be? You eventually conform IF you believe marriage is something to do.
Marriage is a state of being and in order for that to be fulfilled to its highest capacity you MUST BE CONNECTED TO THE SOURCE, THE FATHER, OUR LORD & SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST! You are unable to be who you need to be in a marriage if you are not in constant relationship with God for him to show you who you are in him. When you are seeking the father, falling at his feet, fasting, praying and FEELING CONVICTION & making those changes in the areas where he is convicting you then he is able to mold you and equip you for the roles he has already assigned you to and for the ones to come. A disconnect from the source will disconnect you from everything God has connected you to.
Marriage is more than what you want, how you want it, when you want it. There is going to be so many moments where God will make you be something to someone that you do want to be to them. Its a heart posture test, and a lot of people are failing at their roles in marriage because they can't disconnect their will from Gods will & they are expecting spouses to conform to things that God hasn't asked them to.
Marriages aren't failing, people are.
