Welcome to today's episode of the Hairstylist Empowerment Podcast. Our guest, LeeAnn Miley is the executive director of the nonprofit organization The Sovereign Stylist. After being terribly misclassified by a salon owner, she recognized the need for more business education in the beauty industry specifically regarding worker classification & rights. LeeAnn is a single mother of 4 from central Nebraska, she fulfilled her dream of owning a salon after 12 years behind the chair in various positions from corporate management to renting her own suite. Along with an education in cosmetology, LeeAnn has degrees in both psychology and business administration. She brings her own life experiences to the knowledge she shares and gives participants first hand knowledge on real life situations.
As hairstylists, we are more than just professionals behind the chair; we are artisans, visionaries, and entrepreneurs. "The Sovereign Stylist" is your guide to navigating the ever-evolving landscape of the beauty industry, where creativity meets commerce, and passion meets purpose.
Whether you're dreaming of starting your own salon, expanding your clientele, mastering advanced techniques, or simply reigniting your passion for hairstyling, "The Sovereign Stylist" is here to support and empower you every step of the way.
So grab your shears, unleash your creativity, and let's embark on this journey together with "The Sovereign Stylist," where your reign begins.
