Breaking the God Box - DBL DIP

I confront the subtle idolatry creeping into our faith when we cling too tightly to our beliefs or the content of worship lyrics, as challenged by John 4:23-24: “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” I reflect on how my limited understanding of God can shrink Him into a box of my own making, turning doctrines into idols and worship into a checklist of agreeable lyrics. With raw honesty, I explore God’s desire to reveal Himself far beyond my preconceived notions, inviting me to worship in Spirit—free from the constraints of my preferences or theological comfort zones. God requires you to begin letting go of limited beliefs and curated songs to embrace a vibrant, Spirit-led worship that honors God’s boundless nature.
