Nothing has dominated the movie landscape and box office quite like the MCU and superhero movies in general. So with that being said, lets go back to where it all started. Iron Man actually came out pre-Disney acquisition (something that I think goes a long way to explaining why I enjoyed it). Starring Robert Downey Jr. at the beginning of his big comeback, and giving fans just enough of a hint of the future plans for the larger cinematic world, Iron Man became a massive hit and the MCU was off and running…much to my eventual chagrin…
Digressions include the BAFTAs, Ant Man Quantumania, and James Bond (for some reason).
