TJ Burns originally worked for a start-up which was purchased by Amazon, causing him to become an Amazon employee. He eventually quit Amazon working as an engineer and broke free from the proverbial golden handcuffs. We're talking six figure salary and six figure annual bonuses. A lot of people in real estate aspire to quit their W-2 in order to pursue real estate full-time, and in this conversation we talk pretty extensively about TJ's mindset and his preparation into what helped him make his decision to quit a high paying tech job and strike out on his own.
