Zach takes the leash yet again as he leads us way back in time to the early 1400s to discuss Gilles de Rais. Gilles was possibly the first serial killer in recorded history. Gilles was born in France, fought in the 100 years war and even fought alongside Joan of Arc. The original Bluebeard was a wealthy, successful warrior who had a taste for torturing and murdering kids. Eventually Gilles was caught and confessed under threat of torture. There is some thought today, that Gilles may possibly be innocent, we will never know.
