"I followed the standard path. Advanced degrees, career success, giving my all for my employers. Then one day my division was eliminated and a six-figure income disappeared with a baby on the way. That painful scare combined with seeing both my father and father-in law fall into bad health within their first few years of retirement... I spent the next six years changing my mindset, learning and taking action creating a passive income portfolio 3x+ what I made as a Corporate Director. The next time I was part of a corporate reduction I was much better prepared and settled on retiring at 39 as a passive "1%'er"!"
