On this occasion, Jesus heals Simon's mother-in-law of a fever, and it does not gradually come down as if you took medication, but it leaves her body. She demonstrates the proper response by immediately serving the Lord. Jesus healed many others of various illnesses and demon possession late into the night, only to continue that work once the day dawned. Let us be diligent in fulfilling God's purpose for our lives by following in His steps.
