Hey Naw: A Tribute Fumble

Outkast's 2025 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame should have been an unblemished triumph. Instead, it became a night of stark, jarring contradictions. In this episode, we deconstruct the ceremony that was split in two: the profoundly moving, authentic speeches versus the critically-panned, "hot mess" tribute medley that followed.  

We explore the emotional highs of the acceptance, from Donald Glover's powerful induction speech to Big Boi's "iron sharpens iron" salute and André 3000's tearful, "freestyled" reflection on their beginnings in "little rooms".  

Then, we dive into the core of the disaster: André 3000's "ghost in the room" decision to attend but not perform, watching the medley from the wings. We analyze how this created an impossible-to-fill void that doomed the guest performers.
