Hollywood filmmaker Allan Brocka joins Samantha Baines to talk about his mother's multiple divorces when he was a child and the effect breakups had on his life. Allan talks about moving back to Guam, being the only child in his class with divorced parents as well as being unable to lay down roots and make solid friendships. The two discuss looking at the world through a lens, learning how to make friends and childhood experiences effecting your later life. Queer stories are important to both Allan and Sam and they explore how film and television has had an impact on their experiences.
