127: Sustainable Financial Future with Dr. Mara Harvey

While sustainability and finance seem like two very diverse topics, a combination of the two, 'Sustainable Investing' is something I learnt in this very educative podcast episode, 

Dr. Mara Harvey, has been guiding and educating parents and children towards financial literacy with a focus on sustainability. She has published rhymed book for children on money, equality and sustainability.

Dr. Mara has emphasized on the importance of consumer choices and how powerful our choices are, in deciding how consumer companies contribute towards sustainability.

Human population is on the rise and we are consuming too many resources from our planet, not allowing enough time to replenish. 

'There is no shortage of capital on this planet to achieve Sustainable Development Goals' 

Her fifth book in the series explains the 17 Sustainable Development Goals to children in rhymes. It has been endorsed and published by the United Nations under the title "START DOING GOOD".

Its interesting to learn how uniquely she has developed rhymes so that kids can playfully learn and be aware of UNSDGs, just like their ABCs.
