Faith, Basketball and Building a Legacy with Coach Jay Wright and Father Pete

This week, Andy sits down to talk about two of his favorite topics rolled into one episode: faith and basketball. He's joined by Father Peter Donohue, president of Villanova University since 2006, and Hall of Fame basketball coach Jay Wright, who led the Wildcats (not Kentucky, the other ones!) to two national championships and built Villanova into one of the most respected programs in the country. For nearly two decades, these two worked side by side – one running a university, one running a basketball team – and together built something that will outlast any single championship or strategic plan.

They get into leadership, faith, and what it actually takes to build a culture that holds up under mounting political pressure. Father Pete shares what it's been like leading a major Catholic university through nearly twenty years of change, what he's learned about calling and purpose along the way, and a prescription for a kinder, more just world. Jay opens up about the moment he knew it was time to step away from coaching, how college basketball has changed since he built his program, what he's learned since moving on, and some hot take Final Four predictions. And of course, a little Kentucky basketball talk along the way.
