There are two stars fighting for your soul… and most people don’t realize which one they’re following.
In this powerful, eye-opening message, Pastor Shane Wall uncovers the hidden Star Wars happening in the spiritual realm — a battle between the Star of Bethlehem and the inverted star of rebellion.

Here are the author's notes from this week's message:
Star Wars
[But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].
1 John 3:8 AMPC
*- Christmas is more than a season, it’s a revelation of a war between two kingdoms.
*- In Matthew 2, God placed a symbol in the sky to announce that the true King had come.
2 Where is He Who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east at its rising and have come to worship Him.
9 When they had listened to the king, they went their way, and behold, the star which had been seen in the east in its rising went before them until it came and stood over the place where the young Child was.
10 When they saw the star, they were thrilled with ecstatic joy.
Matthew 2:9-10 AMPC
*- But while God used His star to point people to Christ, the enemy throughout history has attempted to use his star to point people away from Christ.
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
Isaiah 14:12-16 KJV
*- Star Wars, this message's title, is a spiritual reality:
The war between the Star of Bethlehem and the inverted star of satanic rebellion.
*- The world uses stars to symbolize rebellion — an inverted star where flesh dominates spirit. But God placed His star in the sky to symbolize truth, guidance, and worship. One star leads to self; the other leads to the Savior.
What did God’s star represent?
*- God’s Direction: It moved—leading the wise men step by step. God never leaves His people wandering.
*- God’s Revelation: The star pointed only to Jesus—never to itself. It revealed Heaven’s plan, not man’s desires.
*- God’s Invitation: The star was God saying: Follow this light and you will find the Savior to worship.
The enemy cannot create—he can only invert and pervert what God makes. Just as God used a star to reveal Christ, satan promotes a corrupted star to conceal/hide Christ.
The inverted pentagram symbolizes:
matter over spirit
rebellion over obedience—rejection of God
self-will and self-exaltation over God’s will
the kingdom of darkness over light
It is used in:
satanism
occult rituals
witchcraft
demonic symbolism
*- Where God’s star lifts people to worship, the enemy’s star pulls people into self-worship, which leads to confusion, deception, and bondage.
*- There are two stars in the spiritual realm:
*- God’s star — points to Jesus
*- Satan’s star — points to self
*- God’s star invites worship.
*- Satan’s star invites rebellion.
*- God’s star illuminates.
*- Satan’s star darkens.
*- God’s star guides.
*- Satan’s star misleads.
*- God’s star brings joy.
*- Satan’s star brings bondage.
*- God’s star reveals the King.
*- Satan’s star rejects the King.
*- Every thought that we believe is a good idea that brings light to what we should do must be brought to the light of Jesus Christ to ensure God's Spirit is leading us.
This is the spiritual Star Wars happening in every generation. Now, God asks:
Whose star are you following?
The star that leads to worship?
Or the star that leads to rebellion?
The star that leads to Jesus?
Or the star that leads to self?
Lifework Assignment:
*- Christmas is God’s reminder that He put His star in the sky to defeat every false star that rises against Him. Just as God moved the star to guide the wise men, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. Follow His light. Reject every counterfeit light. Choose the star that leads to your destiny, not your destruction.
Expected Behavior:
*- Just as the star stood over the place where Jesus was, He stands over your life saying: “Here is where you will find Me.”
*- If you want to follow the Light of the world and reject every false light — every inverted star of rebellion — God is calling you to worship like the wise men.
Come to Jesus.
Come to the true Light.
Come to the Star that will never lead you astray from God’s will and safety for your life.
