Insurers Miss Mark on Mental Health

May is Mental Health Awareness month, but the U.S. is in the midst of a mental health crisis. More than a decade ago, the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act was passed, requiring insurers to provide comparable coverage for mental health and medical treatments. But insurers are missing the mark - denying claims, limiting coverage, and finding other ways to skate around the law.
