It's the World Cup and Pride Month crossover everyone's been begging for... this week, we're talking David Beckham and Metrosexuals!

In June 2002, David Beckham was the first footballer to appear on the cover of the UK gay men's magazine, Attitude. Inspired by that appearance, writer Mark Simpson wrote a Salon.com piece, MEET THE METROSEXUAL, and the term became a cultural phenomenon.
