Danny Hembree: Merciless Murders

The community along the border of North and South Carolina was close-knit and considered a safe place to raise a family when the remains of 17-year-old Heather Catterton were found in a culvert in York County, South Carolina. The local man linked to her death, Danny Hembree, was part of this community. Apparently devoted to his mother, no one considered that he was a remorseless killer who preyed on those who trusted him. But they were wrong and Heather was not his only victim.

When questioned by police, Hembree lied, taunted investigators, and bragged about the horrors he had inflicted on his victims. And, as his victims’ families tried to heal and move on in their lives, Hembree continued to make false statements to the police, showing no empathy or remorse.
