CUE 18 Wrap Up
#CUE18 #WeAreCUE
Shannon and Brenda had a great time at the CUE 18 Conference in Palm Springs California. They discuss how they prepared, who they met, what they learned, and a preview of who they interviewed for their next episode. Stay tuned!
CUE, formerly, Computer-Using Educators, is a nonprofit educational corporation founded in 1978. CUE's goal is to inspire innovative learners in all disciplines from preschool through college. With an active current membership of thousands of educational professionals, CUE supports many regional affiliates and Learning Networks. CUE Conferences are California’s premier educational technology events. CUE is the largest organization of its type in the west and one of the largest in the United States.
We were able to interview Dave Lee (@AODaveLee), one of the co-hosts of “The Waves of Tech” Podcast, on the vendor floor at CUE. Their podcast covers all different kinds of technology and how it relates to you. Both Shannon and Brenda were also interviewed for the Waves of Tech podcast. Dave and his co-host Steve are also the Founders of International Podcast Day (@intlpodcastday), which celebrates podcasting around the world. Brenda and Shannon are big fans!
Both Brenda and Shannon really enjoyed the “Tosas Talking Tech” podcast and their pre-conference helpful hints in their “Spring CUE 18 Preview”, Episode 68. Tosas Talking Tech is a podcast that is hosted by two teachers, that talk about technology in the classroom. Shannon was also interviewed on for their podcast. P.S. Their secret word is “Snickers”.
Also helpful was the CUE sponsored podcast “Check This Out” podcast, especially their “What to Expect when you’re expecting to attend a conference”, episodes 76 and 78. Brian Briggs @bribriggs and Ryan O’Donnell @creativeedtech are great fun to listen to.
Now that we have CUE under our belt, we are looking forward to attending ISTE in June 2018! Will you be there? Will you come and talk to us? Let us know! We would LOVE to have a meet-up in Chicago!
