Benji Cooksey is the owner and executive director of The Good Friend Theater in Houston, TX and the managing director of ComedySportz Houston. His production credits include "Improv! The Musical, Beer Babies”, & "The Bard's Bounty - an Improvised D&D adventure". Benji has performed improv, comedy, and music all over the world, but when he’s not performing he’s having the best laughs with his friends and family.
Benji and I did the iO intensive together, we talk about about Comedysportz, to run a theatre and the importance of practicing for the format. We talk about the iO and UCB-intensives, the learners journey and that a scene is never broken. We are also talking about survivor, DnD and to prioritize fun over talent.
