Jason Manning is a Professor of Sociology at the University of West Virginia. He is an expert on the sociology of conflict, social control, and the sociology of suicide. Together with our last guest, Bradley Campbell, Jason is co-author of The Rise of Victimhood Culture. In this episode we discuss the background of their book, the history of the concept of a microaggression and its quick incorporation into various institutions, shifting understandings of violence, and contemporary university education.
