I often get some question about the amount of food an athlete needs to eat when training for an ultra - either "Why am I always hungry?" or "Do I really need to eat this much?"
While there are a large range of responses to this, it makes sense that you'd have to eat a lot in a big training cycle - and not just on your heavy training days.
In this video I broke down why with some basic math, using myself as an example.
