In the last few years of his career, he became dead-set on debunking people claiming to be psychic mediums who communed with spirits. And when he figured out how these “flim-flammers” were pulling off their tricks, he revealed their secrets.
But there was one medium – Margery Crandon – who nearly gave Houdini a run for his money. And depending on who you believe, his fascination with exposing her and other mediums might have led to his untimely death.
