Religion & Spirituality:Christianity
Registered dietitian, sports nutrition expert, and baby-feeding expert Leslie Schilling is on today's show to talk about her journey to recognize and identify diet culture and the harm it's caused people of all ages and stages. Today Leslie shares her story-how she used to be the one doling out weight loss advice-but how through years of research and experience- she's come to a different perspective now. Leslie has a brand new book out that releases today podcast titled, "Feed Yourself" (**Amazon affiliate link, see below) that takes a biblical look at the messages of diet culture and how they've affected and harmed so many.
In this show, hear Leslie talk about how diet culture has crept into the "safe places" in society. From our schools, doctor's offices, and churches we've learned to accept certain truths about food and our relationship with it that have damaged our bodies and our relationship with eating. Leslie also talks about how many of these messages don't align with what the Bible teaches about eating and food.
Listen and subscribe to find out how you can break free from the shaming and harmful messages of diet culture to truly make peace with food and your body.
