Her dedication to both groups is testament enough, but after thousands of vaginoplasties and hundreds of metoidioplasties and clitoral restorations, she is also a first in more ways than deniers of gender affirming care can count. She is the living embodiment of a theme she espouses throughout this interview: "Don't be afraid of who you are." She is fearless. We could all use more of that.
