Today we revisit a 2024 episode on one of the most fabulous parties New York City has ever seen, Truman Capote's Black and White Ball. Held at The Plaza hotel on November 28, 1966 as a masked fancy dress ball with a strict dress code of black and white, Capote gathered together a global coterie of artists, intellectuals, politicians and the international jet set for one of the most sought-after invitations of the 20th century.
