This month we had the pleasure of speaking to Javier Weddington, a co-founder of MIT BoSTEM Scholars. He is a neuroscience researcher at MIT, is about to start a PhD program, and is a proud Chicago Public Schools alumn. Javier shares his experience working towards more equitable access to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education, particularly for youth of color. He also shares his wisdom about raising money, gathering a strong team for your work, and getting enough sleep. You can learn more at the MIT BoSTEM Scholars website and follow him on Twitter.
