In Genesis 7-9:1-17, God instructs Noah to build an ark and gather two of every kind of animal to save them from a great flood. Noah, his family, and the animals weather 40 days and nights of rain, followed by months of waiting for the waters to recede. As they finally see land and a rainbow signifying God's promise, one wonders: Will humanity's new beginning under Noah's leadership bring a different future?In Matthew 4:1-22, Jesus withstands temptation by the devil in the desert, using scripture as his defense. After this trial, He begins His ministry, calling simple fishermen to become His first disciples. As Jesus walks by the Sea of Galilee and calls Simon Peter and Andrew, one wonders: Will these fishermen truly leave everything behind to follow Him?
